Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - per diem

Join our dynamic care team at Berkshire Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Sandisfield, an award-winning facility!

Up to $40 an hour with weekly pay. Berkshire Rehab is a 57-bed, all-male skilled nursing facility with a large veteran population.

Overview

We are seeking a per diem Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a COTA, you will play a vital role in assisting with the provision of occupational therapy services, including collection of assessment data, direct treatment, and program development.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with direct patient treatments in accordance with a physician's order and established plan of care
  • Participate in team meetings and decision-making processes
  • Consult with patients, residents, and caregivers
  • Monitor efficiencies and document activities in a timely manner
  • Demonstrate consistent knowledge of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations
  • Participate in clinical program development and implementation
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
  • Associate degree in occupational therapy assistant from an accredited program
  • CEUs per state licensure requirements
  • Current licensure by the applicable state agency, or be in the process of obtaining one
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and interact with all levels of staff and customers
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for significant amounts of time
  • Ability to perform documentation needs, manipulations of equipment, and direct patient care
  • Ability to cope with periodic stress and prioritize tasks effectively
