Desired Qualifications andExperience:
- Current Massachusetts state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Previous experience in school or pediatric settings preferred
- Proficient communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
- Ability to adapt activities and interventions for varying student needs
- Organized, proactive, and dedicated to supporting student achievement
- Deliver occupational therapy services as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Assist with evaluations, implement approved treatment plans, and track student progress
- Support students in developing motor skills, adaptive strategies, and independence in classroom routines
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development opportunities
