We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at Hathorne Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Danvers, Massachusetts. As a CNA, you will provide high-quality care to our residents, working closely with our nursing staff to ensure their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at Hathorne Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Danvers, Massachusetts. As a CNA, you will provide high-quality care to our residents, working closely with our nursing staff to ensure their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Responsibilities
  • Provide routine care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with serving meals, feeding residents, and meal documentation
  • Maintain resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and transporting residents to activities and appointments
  • Monitor resident conditions and report any unusual conditions, accidents, or incidents to the nurse
  • Participate in informal and formal resident care meetings as requested
  • Follow all health, sanitary, and infection control policies and maintain established standards of practice
Requirements
  • C.N.A. certification as evidenced by completion of Nurse's Aide Training Program approved in accordance with the State of Massachusetts Public Health Code and a passing score on the MA Nurse's Aide Certification Exam
  • Clean ASI registry check
  • Previous CNA experience desirable, but not essential
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English; ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to work hours as scheduled based on the requirements of the position assignment
  • Must be able to cope with the mental, emotional, and physical stress of the position
  • Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the facility
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day, proper body mechanics required - bending, stooping, turning, stretching, and reaching above the shoulders are involved
  • Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics/equipment that will enable these senses to function adequately
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Mechanical devices are provided and are required to assist in proper lifting techniques

  • Properly utilizes techniques in performing Activities of Daily Living, assisted feeding, and providing nourishments
  • Takes vital signs and weights, records as facility instructed
  • Understands and upholds the Resident's Bill of Rights and holds all resident information confidential
  • Follows and complies with all State and Federal regulations as well as established Personnel Policies and Procedures
  • Maintains all pertinent records in an accurate, timely, efficient, and confidential manner
