Position: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Location: Sandisfield

Physical Therapist Assistant

Berkshire Rehab, an award-winning facility, is looking for part-time and per diem PTAs to join our team in Sandisfield! 24 hours a week.

We are a 57-bed, all-male skilled nursing home with a large veteran population. Weekly pay up to $40 an hour.

As a PTA, you assist in the provision, collection of assessment data, and direct treatment to a general rehab caseload under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist, and participate in clinical program development.

Education & Experience:

  • Associate's Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program.
  • CEU's per state licensure requirements.
  • Massachusetts PTA license required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • May perform additional assigned administrative duties such as assigned by the Rehab Program Manager.
  • Under a physician's order, provides direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care. Treatment venues include individual, supervised, and group.
  • Contributes to the team meeting and decision-making process as defined by the program.
  • Consults with and trains patients, residents, and caregivers.
  • Monitors efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with supervisor.
  • Documents activities according to the company's clinical documentation system on a timely basis.
  • Demonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations.
  • Participates in clinical program development and implementation.

Specific Requirements:

  • Ability to perform documentation needs, manipulations of equipment and direct patient care.
  • Requires intense attention and concentration.
  • Ability to cope with periodic stress associated with changing census and staffing demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage time effectively for self and others.
  • Ability to deal with a wide range of personality types, ages, and diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to articulate and comprehend the English language.
