POSITION SUMMARY:The Patient Transporter is an integral part of the patient care team providing prompt, courteous, customer-focused service to the patients, visitors, and coworkers of Boston Medical Center. The Patient Transporter is responsible for patient transport within the hospital and for miscellaneous functions as well. He/she contributes to service excellence by fostering collaboration among and between team members as well as other ancillary departments.

Schedule: 40 Hours (Morning 7am - 3:30pm - Sunday-Thursday)

JOB REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION:
- High diploma or GED preferred
REQUIRED:
- Obtaining and the maintenance of CPR preferred
- Requires 6-12 months of experience in customer service or hospital experience
SKILLS:
- Requires heavy lifting and pushing, pulling and standing.
- Requires the interpersonal skills necessary to communicate clearly to interact appropriately with nursing staff, patients, families/visitors, physicians, and other hospital staff.
- Work requires demonstrated ability to effectively speak, read, and write English.
- Work requires ability to follow instructions, work independently and efficiently to complete assigned work.
$17.92- $26.63
