A day in the life...An Inn Operations Manager helps support the Innkeeper with day-to-day functions. The job blends hospitality, leadership, and hands‑on problem‑solving along with administrative work.
Key Responsibilities:- Guest experience oversight
:
Ensuring check-ins, check-outs, and guest interactions are smooth and welcoming. - Front desk supervision: Training and guiding front desk staff, handling escalated guest issues, and maintaining service standards.
- Housekeeping coordination
:
Inspecting rooms and communicating with housekeeping teams. - Scheduling & staffing
:
Creating staff schedules, monitoring attendance, and supporting hiring or onboarding. - Inventory & supplies: Tracking linens, amenities, cleaning products, and ordering replacements when needed.
- Financial tasks: Handling petty cash, distribution of gratuities to The Front desk staff.
- Proven experience working in an Inn or within Guest Services in Hotel/Resort or similar leadership role in a luxury, Forbes 5-star, or equivalent establishment
- Familiarity with property-management systems (PMS)
