About the Role

The Front Desk Manager at Chatham Bars Inn will oversee front office operations, ensuring exceptional guest service and the efficient management of staff and resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate the Front Office efficiently, including scheduling and profitability.
  • Supervise Guest Service Agents, Concierge, PBX, and Bell/Valet staff.
  • Maintain Chatham Bars Inn service standards, including Forbes, Preferred Legend, and AAA.
  • Delegate duties, coordinate work processes, and maximize room revenue and occupancy.
  • Ensure proper staffing at all times across Front Office areas.
  • Interpret and enforce hotel quality standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist with annual departmental operating budgets and control costs.
  • Perform human resources tasks such as hiring, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, behavior, and grooming of staff.
  • Handle guest complaints and comments tactfully.
  • Coordinate teamwork with other departments.
  • Perform any other duties as reasonably required.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years front office and/or supervisory experience, preferably in a luxury hotel setting.
  • Demonstrated management, leadership, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Sound accounting background and computer proficiency.
  • Ability to train subordinate staff in accounting.
  • Works closely with other department managers to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Availability to work holidays and weekends; can stand for long periods.
Benefits & Compensation
  • Base Salary: $65,000 – $65,000.
