Catering Manager
Seacrest Beach Resort is looking for a Catering Manager for year round employment. The salary range is $60-$68 based on experience. There is also a quarterly incentive of up to 20%, after the first 90 days of employment.
The Catering Manager will be responsible for detailing and servicing social catering opportunities, including weddings, inhouse events, and others as directed by the Director of Operations and Catering Manager. The goal is to manage experiences to exceed guest satisfaction for every event every time. Personal and team financial goals will be achieved through upselling pricing on season and/or demand, and building relationships for repeat business when applicable.
All outlets and hotel features will be showcased and promoted to all previous, current, and potential clients.
Below is a partial list of activities and responsibilities associated with this position. Note that at any time these may be revised by the Director of Operations and Catering Manager or General Manager at any time as business or clients' needs dictate.

Your Focus:
- Solidify Sea Crest Beach Resort's reputation as a premier and sought after wedding & events location through well executed programs, positive word of mouth, and prospecting (when appropriate with existing customers).
- Build rapport with both internal and external clients.
- Ensure that all terms and conditions satisfy the client's expectation while simultaneously ensuring consistent and correct information is communicated to our operational partners.
- Maximize opportunities for wedding revenue by upselling menu enhancements.
- Record and track all activities and communications with clients to secure proper and professional follow up, next steps, etc. using Delphi.
- Conduct walking sites and act as main point of contact during events as requested by the client.
- Plan and execute wedding tasting events in conjunction with the Director of Operations and Catering Manager.
- Ensure clients' needs and requests are being met by completing resumes and BEOs accurately to provide detailed information regarding food and beverage events, outlet and activities department's needs, rooming list requests, housekeeping requirements, billing details, and deposits.
- Manage deposits and obtain payment in full prior to an event.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Your Background and
Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous hotel and/or event experience required. Focus on wedding experience.
Work Environment and Context:
- Work schedule varies and will include working on holidays, weekends as required by group events.
- Required to walk frequently for events, lift up to 20 pounds, bend, reach, use hands and fingers to operate the keyboard.
