HOUSEKEEPER
Status: Seasonal, Full-time, Non-Exempt
Responsibility: High level of supervision needed. Low level of operational decision making.

Director of Lodging
Skills:
- Advanced Teamwork and Communication Skills – Interact, work and relate with people, listen, speak, read, write, observe, use English fluently.
- Advanced Customer Service Skills – Product knowledge, problem-solving skills, time management, attentiveness, patience, positive attitude, a willingness to go the extra mile, responsibility, professionalism.
- Advanced Safety Skills – Observe safety rules, safely operate equipment, food safety consciousness, CPR and First Aid.
Effort: Medium – Walk and stand for extended periods of time. Bend, reach, push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Work Conditions: Level 3 – Half of the work is performed indoors, half outdoors, half of the work is performed in an air-conditioned environment, variable schedule based on business demands, some duties require working with hazards.
Duties:
Housekeepers will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all rooms, suites, and indoor common areas at Wianno Club’s property, which includes vacuuming floors, dusting, replenishing linens and towels, disinfecting bathrooms, and washing windows. Other responsibilities include operating or tending washing machines to wash industrial or household articles, such as cloth garments, blankets, draperies, and linens.
- Clean corridors, lobby, stairways, elevators, and lounges as well as guest rooms.
- Organize work schedule from the room status list, arrivals and departures. Distribute linen, towels and room supplies using wheeled carts or by hand.
- Restock room supplies such as drinking glasses, soaps, shampoos, writing supplies. Replace dirty linens with clean items.
- Inspect and turn mattresses upon request by Housekeeping Manager.
- Store all dirty laundry in line with Clubs’ policy and Laundry Supervisor’s requests.
- Monitor guest laundry bags and replace laundry bags and slips if needed.
- Check all appliances in rooms are in working order.
- Realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests.
- Respond to calls for housekeeping problems such as spills, broken glasses, etc.
- Deliver any requested housekeeping items to guest rooms or common Club areas.
- Remove room service items and bring them to proper location.
- Organize and restock cart daily at the end of the shift.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of guest rooms.
- Follow all Wianno Club safety and security procedures.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisor or Manager on duty.
- Observe and report damage of hotel property and report to Manager on duty.
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, methods, cleaning sensitive materials, and of operating cleaning equipment.
- Professionally and courteously handle member or guest concerns and complaints, informing the Housekeeping Manager of all problems and solutions.
- Provide for all members and guests, and instill in the team, the need for extraordinary personal service through attention to detail, quality communication and follow through.
- Be familiar with and follow the Club’s emergency procedures and be prepared to handle an emergency if one arises.
- Represent the Club in the highest standard possible, both on and off property.
