Assist with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources functions and duties while supporting the practices and objectives of the company and business unit.
Essential Duties- Schedule and conduct interviews and phone screenings.
- Field incoming applicant calls.
- Conduct background checks according to company and account requirements.
- Ensure new-hire paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
- Maintain employee and medical files.
- Assist with employee relations.
- Ensure new employees receive all necessary safety equipment (PPE), ’s and keys.
- Assist with Account "special requirements" log.
- Notify new employees of benefits eligibility and provide enrollment information.
- Assist with insurance open enrollment.
- Assist with workers compensation case management.
- Assist with employee inquiries regarding benefits & vacation eligibility.
- Assist with resolution of issues with timekeeping and payroll.
- Ensure company compliance with FMLA requirements.
- Assist with investigations.
- Assist supervisors and managers in handling employee issues and complaints.
- Submit employee changes to payroll.
- Assist with uniform inventory maintenance.
- Conduct audits as directed.
- Process employee termination paperwork.
- Assist with the recovery of company property from terminated employees.
- Assist with unemployment claims management.
- 2+ years HR Support experience preferred.
- Experience using UKG highly preferred.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Able to multi-task.
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to show judgment and to work independently.
- High integrity and discretion required.
- Must be able to effectively work in a team environment.
