Job Overview

Principal Information Specialist, Data Center IT Operations at Raytheon Digital Technology, located in Tewksbury, MA. Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and monitoring of Data Centers and for ensuring smooth operations that meet security and operational standards. Requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship.

• Lead inter‑team communication and maintain clear documentation related to Data Center operations.
• Serve as the primary Digital Technology point of contact for Facilities issues affecting the Data Center.
• Provide input to the monthly Operational Review and annual Capital Budget for Digital Technology facilities.
• Review environmental monitoring strategy with Facilities, covering off‑hour emergency response, power outage support, temperature monitoring, and under‑floor water and fire detection.
• Plan, evaluate, coordinate, and perform installation and reconfiguration of Data Center racks.
• Maintain the Data Center management software platform.
• Create or update operational instructions, technical diagrams, and other documentation; produce new documentation where none exists.
• Monitor short‑ and long‑range performance; plan for in‑house systems.
• Coordinate third‑party maintenance and vendor support for Data Center equipment.
• Assist program engineers in resolving Data Center problems in tactical environments.
• Mentor, train, and share knowledge with the technical team.
• Work outside normal business hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
• Operate under general supervision and follow established procedures.
• Must work onsite at Raytheon facilities in Tewksbury, MA.

• U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance required.
• University degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of experience.
• Experience in IT Data Center operations, including digital technology infrastructure, networking, and facilities infrastructure.
• Strong customer‑service orientation, oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under time constraints and handle classified computing (ICD
  705, NISPOM Chapter8).

• Security+ or Network+ certification obtained within the last 6 months.
• Experience with access‑control lists, security posture, and vendor best practices.
• Proficiency in Visio diagramming and design.
• Willingness to travel domestically as required.

• Salary range: USD
  86,800–165,200.
