The Opportunity
Avantor is looking for a Business Systems Analyst II to join our team!
This role may be based onsite at one of the following locations:
Devens, MA, Valencia, CA, or Barrington, IL.
- Education: Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience, education and training
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management, data governance, or related roles
- Hands‑on experience with ERP or enterprise systems (e.g., Epicor, SAP, Workday, Exact) is required
- Experience supporting complex organizational structures (e.g., hierarchical, functional, matrixed environments)
- Proven ability to manage internal stakeholders, understand business needs, and deliver effective solutions
- Strong balance of technical expertise and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multi‑level stakeholders
- Demonstrated ownership as a subject matter expert contributing to cross‑functional program success
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Deep ERP experience spanning both operational data management and system‑level (technical/programmatic) capabilities
- Experience working across multiple ERP platforms
- Highly self‑motivated with strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated leadership mindset and willingness to take initiative
- Experience in training, documentation, and/or facilitation
- Strong background supporting ERP environments across manufacturing and/or distribution organizations
The Analyst II supports enterprise data management efforts to ensure accurate, secure, and accessible information. This role contributes to data governance, master data, and compliance initiatives; manages data‑related projects such as migrations, system updates, and validation improvements; resolves cross‑system data issues through analytical problem‑solving; and collaborates with IT, compliance teams, and external vendors to maintain data integrity and operational alignment.
- Super‑user and business support partner for the Epicor ERP system, ensuring collaborative, efficient use within the system.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into Epicor ERP configurations, reporting solutions, and system enhancements.
- Support day‑to‑day Epicor ERP operations, including troubleshooting system issues, resolving cross‑functional data discrepancies, and coordinating fixes with IT or technical teams as needed.
- Assist with testing, validation, and deployment of Epicor system updates, enhancements, and process changes.
- Administer troubleshooting efforts in collaboration with internal teams (IT, Business Intelligence) and external teams (vendor partners, project/program consultants).
- Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to validate data definitions and logic.
- Fulfill project resource/coordination support when needed.
- Deliver training and development information to end users via online learning center, Viva Engage and email.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable ERP solutions while supporting system configuration, data integration, security, and continuous process optimization.
- Strong background in ERP implementations, business process improvement, end user training, multi‑company and multi‑site environments, and operational process optimization. Proven success leading ERP rollouts, supporting acquisitions, gathering business requirements, developing documentation, and driving adoption of best practices across manufacturing, supply chain, and business operations. Experienced partnering with technical and functional teams to improve processes, support users, and enhance overall ERP effectiveness.
- Experience supporting ERP projects, troubleshooting technical issues, optimizing business processes, and integrating solutions such as warehouse management systems, shop floor automation, manufacturing execution systems and AI agentic solutions.
The expected pre‑tax pay for this position is $78,000.00 - $.
