You will be a member of our IT team focused on building, maintaining, and supporting enterprise-level cloud and infrastructure services. In this role, you will apply complete knowledge and full understanding of infrastructure engineering principles, practices, and procedures to resolve a wide range of issues in practical and creative ways. As a fully qualified, experienced professional, you will work independently on problems of diverse scope, evaluate identifiable factors, adapt existing approaches, and select the right course of action while supporting high availability, automation, capacity planning, monitoring, security, and business continuity.

You will collaborate with internal partners and advise others on difficult technical matters that support business needs.

• Apply complete knowledge and hands-on experience across infrastructure technologies, best practices, processes, and procedures to support reliable enterprise operations.
• Work across all phases of the solution delivery lifecycle, including requirements definition, architecture, design, implementation, and support.
• Establish, operate, and leverage enterprise capabilities, hosting solutions, infrastructure services, SLAs, and OLAs.
• Build and maintain collaborative working relationships across the IT organization.
• Evaluate infrastructure solutions using sound judgment, available information, business requirements, and established technical standards.
• Resolve a wide range of infrastructure issues by assessing root cause, adapting existing approaches, and recommending practical variations in approach when needed.
• Develop system and application implementation plans, custom scripts, and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability.
• Ensure high availability and acceptable performance levels for mission-critical resources.
• Develop procedures, programs, and documentation for backup and restoration of operating systems and applications.
• Develop and implement system disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Evaluate, recommend, and execute new technologies and update existing infrastructure to optimize systems and network performance.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and partner with IT staff or vendors to perform complex testing, support, and troubleshooting.
• Forecast system demand and recommend upgrades, expansion, and reconfiguration.
• Partner with senior internal stakeholders and IT teams on infrastructure projects, provide Tier 3 support for complex enterprise infrastructure issues, and advise others on difficult technical matters.
• Communicate technical ideas, issues, risks, and recommendations clearly to varied audiences, adapting communication style as needed.
• Develop, perform, and enforce best practices for systems management, including configuration, monitoring, alerting, patch management, and security.
