Network/System Administrator (Net/Sys Admin) IILocation: Hanscom AFB, MA
Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI [Required] (Must be able to obtain a CI Poly)
Job Type: Full-Time
Target Salary Range*:$119,500 - $128,000
* This represents the potential salary range for this position depending on education level, years of experience and/or certifications in addition to other position specific requirements which may impact salary
Position OverviewThe Network/System Administrator II will organize, install, and support government computer systems, including LANs, WANs, network segments, intranets, and other data communication systems. The position supports Special Access Programs (SAPs) for Department of Defense (DoD) agencies and provides day-to-day support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and SAP activities.
Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork and Systems Administration
- Organize, install, and support LANs, WANs, network segments, intranets, and other data communication systems.
- Execute day-to-day management and operations of systems and networks.
- Provide technical support to computer users and assist with resolving user problems.
- Help architect, design, and analyze network models.
- Participate in decisions regarding future hardware and software purchases to upgrade organizational infrastructure.
- Manage COTS and GOTS products to collect, display, and remediate automated system security and system operations/performance functions and metrics.
- Follow daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly Operations and Maintenance (O&M) checklists to maintain services.
- Build Tactics, Techniques and Processes (TTPs) and Standard Operating Processes (SOPs) associated with service checklists.
- Operate monitoring tools and capabilities within the enterprise Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) environment.
- Create and tailor complex event alarms/rules and summary reports.
- Assist in analyzing technical risk of emerging cybersecurity tools and processes, upon request.
- Work as part of a security incident response team as needed.
- Support activities within Special Access Programs (SAPs) supporting DoD agencies, including HQ Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), and Military Compartments efforts.
- Provide day-to-day support for Collateral, SCI, and SAP activities.
- Maintain working technical competency in one or more of the following:
- Microsoft Windows Server
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers
- MS Hyper-V, VMware/ESx, and Xen Hypervisors
- Enterprise networking, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Forensic analysis and vulnerability assessment
- Group Policy management and configuration
- Scripting
- BMC Footprints
- WSUS
- Lumension
- Bit Locker
- SQL Server 2012
- Tomcat
- IIS
- Windows Server 2012 R2/2016
- Windows 10
- Red Hat 6.5
- Microsoft Office Toolkits
- SIEMs
- Log Rhythm
- ACAS/Nessus/SCAP
- Mandatory and role-based access control concepts, including SELinux extensions to RHEL, Pit Bull, App Armor, and Sentris
- Video teleconferencing/VOIP
- Oracle/MS SQL database security

Education
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant experience [Required].
- Associate's degree and 5 years of relevant experience [Required].
- 7 years of total relevant experience in lieu of degree [Required].
- 3–5 years of related experience [Required].
- SAP experience [Required].
- TS/SCI clearance [Required].
- Must be willing to obtain a CI Poly [Required].
