Application Engineer - Valves
The Application Engineer provides quote preparation, application of product selection, price and availability. They also provide technical assistance/support and value selection of products for application taking into consideration price and availability, consulting with engineering when required.
Key responsibilities include preparing verbal and written quotations for domestic and international customers and representatives via telephone, fax, and email. They assist customer inquiries on order status, ship methods, tracking numbers, freight charges, pricing and availability. They analyze business opportunities, facilitate requests for project quotations and ensure that processes are correctly executed, according to customer request. They are a technical resource and have the organizational agility to find answers and solve problems.
They have a desire and ambition to grow into a larger role of responsibility. They should have intermediate data entry skills and knowledge of Word and Excel software. They are able to solve routine and complex problems using information sources provided, or by conceptual and innovative thinking, with or without supervision. All other duties as assigned.
Candidate profile includes finalizing negotiation with customers. Knowledge of T&C is necessary. They recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer's satisfaction and sales potential. They have 2-4 years technical customer service experience in manufacturing support. They have a sound, in-depth understanding of concepts and principles in customer service. They act as Customers' advocate within the organization and are accountable for Customer Satisfaction.
They document sales and marketing activities along with tracking of opportunities. They are familiar with standard manufacturing concepts, practices and procedures. They are self-starter, organized, thorough and meticulous, able to work under pressure. They have experience in a technical environment. They are able to plan work and commit to meeting deadlines. They are dedicated to a high degree of accuracy.
They are proficient in Microsoft, Excel, and Access software.
Education and experience include a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering. Five years' relevant experience. Valve, regulator, fluid mechanics/control related coursework/education will be additional qualifications. U.S. Citizen.
