The Associate Director, Supply Chain, New Product Introduction is accountable for leading and overseeing the successful integration of new products and expanded indications/jurisdictions to the supply chain operations for the Devens Cell Therapy manufacturing facility (CAR-T Therapies). This role collaborates with cross-functional teams, MSAT, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, ERP and Procurement to ensure seamless product launches and supply chain readiness.

Responsibilities
  • Lead major site supply programs
  • Lead end-to-end supply chain planning and execution for new product introductions, ensuring alignment with project timelines and business objectives
  • Lead procurement, sourcing, qualification and onboarding activities for raw materials, components, and packaging materials, ensuring timely availability and adherence to quality standards
  • Develop and implement robust supply chain strategies and processes to support successful launches, including demand planning, inventory management, distribution and logistics
  • Collaborate with MSAT and Manufacturing teams to ensure timely availability of materials and finished goods for new product launches
  • Work with Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to quality standards throughout the NPI process
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and communication to align objectives across departments involved in NPI
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions
  • Provide leadership, guidance and mentorship to the supply chain team, fostering continuous learning
  • Serve as point of contact for all supply chain functions for NPI, including demand planning, resourcing, material onboarding, and changes to procedures
  • Coordinate all supply chain deliverables and escalate/remove roadblocks
  • Understand interdependencies between business and project schedules and operational needs
  • Establish escalation pathways for program and project issues
  • Lead routine program team meetings and stakeholder communications
  • Work creatively and analytically to solve problems, demonstrating teamwork and innovation
  • Track and report metrics to monitor objectives and project completion
  • Foster a culture of compliance and strong EH&S performance
  • Promote continuous improvement and proactive problem solving
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to improve systems and processes
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Proven track record of leading complex supply chain projects, including new product launches in pharmaceutical/healthcare
  • Experience in biopharmaceutical clinical, supply chain, manufacturing and commercialization; advanced knowledge of cGMP/regulations
  • Experience in a Site Supply Chain Organization
  • Experience with lean six sigma projects and change management
  • Advanced proficiency in Warehouse and Inventory management in ERP systems and analytics tools (preferably SAP)
  • Advanced knowledge of materials management and planning
  • Ability to communicate problem statements and viable solutions using pro vs. con and cost vs. benefit approaches
  • Ability to present data analyses clearly and concisely
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office
