What You’ll Do
:

Lead the strategy. Optimize the supply chain. Deliver operational excellence.

Pelican is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director of Supply Chain to lead end-to-end planning and supply chain operations for our Technical Packaging business. This executive leadership role is responsible for driving demand planning, production planning, materials management, inventory optimization, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to deliver exceptional customer service while supporting profitable growth.

Partnering closely with Operations, Sales, Engineering, Finance, and executive leadership, you'll develop scalable planning strategies, improve information and material flow, optimize capacity, and drive continuous improvement across a complex Make-to-Order (MTO) and Engineer-to-Order (ETO) manufacturing environment.

  • Lead the overall supply chain planning strategy, including demand planning, material planning, production scheduling, inventory optimization, and S&OP
  • Develop and execute planning strategies that improve on-time delivery, reduce lead times, increase inventory turns, and maximize customer satisfaction
  • Lead and develop high-performing Planning and Scheduling teams while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Drive forecasting, capacity planning, and supply planning to balance customer demand, manufacturing capacity, labor, and material availability
  • Champion Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), ensuring alignment between Sales, Operations, Finance, and business objectives
  • Analyze short- and long-term capacity requirements and support capital investment planning for equipment, tooling, automation, and facility expansion
  • Optimize SAP planning tools and advanced planning systems to improve scheduling accuracy, operational visibility, and decision-making
  • Lead KPI management and data-driven performance reviews to improve supply chain efficiency and operational execution
  • Partner with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Engineering, and Quality to improve cross-functional planning and execution
  • Develop innovative supply chain solutions that improve material flow, reduce inventory risk, and support complex Make-to-Order and Engineer-to-Order programs
  • Oversee planning and execution of large, complex customer projects from order entry through delivery
  • Lead product lifecycle planning, including new product introductions, product transitions, and inventory exit strategies
  • Conduct regular Gemba walks to identify improvement opportunities and reinforce Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance, scalability, and customer service
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For
:

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in professional Supply Chain position(s) with a minimum of 4 years supervisory/managerial experience.
