Construction Project Manager

Western Builders is looking for an experienced Project Manager. This role reports to the Vice President of Operations and plays a critical part in delivering successful projects while protecting Western’s reputation, relationships, and financial performance.

• Take full ownership of assigned projects, from contract review through final closeout.
• Review plans, specs, estimates, and site conditions to build a clear execution strategy with the Superintendent and project team.
• Manage project financials, including budgets, cost projections, cash flow, and change management.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules that reflect real‑time progress, risks, and responsibilities.
• Lead subcontractor buyout, scope reviews, and coordination to close gaps and reduce risk.
• Run OAC meetings, manage RFIs, submittals, logs, and documentation, and protect Western’s contractual rights.
• Identify scope changes, negotiate fair compensation, and execute change orders promptly.
• Coordinate permitting and work with local authorities and utilities to meet jurisdictional requirements.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with insurance, safety, and MBE/WBE participation requirements.
• Partner with Superintendents to support jobsite safety and successful field execution.
• Mentor and support Assistant Project Managers and other team members.

• Strong communicator with solid judgment and a practical, solutions‑oriented mindset.
• Deep understanding of commercial construction means and methods.
• Proven ability to manage schedules, budgets, contracts, and subcontractors.
• Organized, accountable, and comfortable leading multiple priorities at once.
• Proficient with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
• Willing and able to travel to job sites as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a construction management role (APM, PM, or similar).
• OSHA 10 certification.

• Sage 300 knowledge
• OSHA 30 certification.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
