Operations Supervisor – Hopedale, MA
Job SummarySupervises and coordinates activities of workers concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts in the stockroom, warehouse, or yard.
Schedule and Working ConditionsPosition is full‑time and on‑site. Multiple shifts available. Schedule will vary based on business needs. Flexibility in availability is required.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain adequate records of inventory adjustments – cycles, physicals, and catch‑weight audits performed.
- Assist with inventory control, maintaining inventory accuracy and supply areas.
- Maintain computerized records of inventory.
- Perform cycle counts, investigate variances, and adjust inventory records as required.
- Review inbound appointment log and open order report each day to plan work activities.
- Plan inbound and outbound schedules to meet customer metrics.
- Determine staffing needs based on workload and schedule staff accordingly.
- Assign workers to specific duties based on workload and shipping schedules.
- Review and update operational procedures, ensuring they are communicated and understood.
- Track productivity and qualify performance by individual, function, and department.
- Work with inventory control to ensure the highest level of inventory accuracy possible.
- Manage payroll of the department.
- Advise employees on handling of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment; and related problems.
- Trace history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommend remedial actions.
- Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.
- Issue written and oral instructions.
- Ensure proper safety procedures are followed.
- Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances.
Directly supervises 20+ employees in Operations. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, evaluating performance, rewarding, disciplining employees, and resolving complaints.
Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma, GED, or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

$65,000–$69,000 yearly (anticipated starting salary range; may be adjusted based on market conditions).
