Position: Environmental Services / Custodial Operations Manager 2
Location: Jabez Corner

Role Overview

We are seeking an Environmental Services Operation Manager 2 for Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital - Plymouth
, located in Plymouth, Massachusetts
. This 200‑bed facility has 56 full‑time staff. The manager is responsible for overseeing the environmental services, patient transport and linen departments, reporting to the General Manager. It is a day‑shift position with approximate hours 7 AM‑4 PM; weekend and holiday rotation is required.

What You’ll Do
  • Drive client and patient satisfaction scores.
  • Provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff, working closely with the Infection Control department.
  • Collaborate with the Environment of Care Committee and Infection Prevention Director.
  • Effectively manage the Unit Operating System.
  • Support a diverse and inclusive workforce.
What You Bring
  • Experience leading and managing a team; a leader who develops and motivates staff to exceed client and customer expectations in service and the technical execution of a healthcare housekeeping system.
  • Experience driving customer service and/or guest satisfaction results in a healthcare environment.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently to drive program compliance and reach project target dates.
  • Ability to analyze data, present, and communicate effectively to all levels within the organization, including training, leading hospital committees, and change management.
  • Experience effectively managing projects within agreed‑upon timelines.
  • Results‑ and safety‑driven orientation.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum Education Requirement:
    Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum Management

    Experience:

    2 years.
  • Minimum Functional

    Experience:

    2 years of work experience in Housekeeping, Environmental or Custodial Services.
