Location: Shirley

This position supports dimensional inspection and quality verification activities within a precision manufacturing environment. The role focuses on programming, executing, and maintaining inspection routines for complex components while partnering closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.

Core Responsibilities
  • Create, refine, and support automated inspection routines on coordinate measuring equipment utilizing Zeiss platforms and associated programming software
  • Analyze technical drawings, geometric tolerances, and 3D models to verify dimensional accuracy and product conformance
  • Execute detailed inspection activities, resolve measurement or setup issues, and produce formal inspection documentation for production and customer requirements
  • Interface with cross-functional teams to align inspection priorities and continuously improve inspection processes
  • Act as a technical resource for CMM-related fixtures, tooling, and external vendors
  • Provide guidance and training to inspection personnel as needed
  • Assist with equipment upkeep, calibration activities, and overall inspection lab readiness
Qualifications & Background
  • Minimum of five years supporting advanced coordinate measurement programming or inspection activities
  • Extensive hands-on experience working with Zeiss measurement systems and related programming tools
  • Strong command of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing principles
  • Proven ability to interpret complex CAD data and detailed engineering documentation
  • Experience working in high-precision manufacturing or machining environments
