Job Description:

CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking Machine Operator candidates in the Sterling, MA area.

Sterling, Massachusetts

Responsibilities
  • Perform changeovers and complete changeover setup form.
  • Arrange assistance for changeover.
  • Responsible for the cleaning of blenders and other equipment for material changes.
  • Pre-blend and oversee the blending or mixing of resins in offline as well as online.
  • Complete paperwork for production sheet, labor log, scrap sheet and daily functional check sheet.
  • Make sure scrap gets weighed and recorded on shift paperwork or entered into MRP system.
  • Set all secondary equipment (printer, punches, venting, portable winders, etc.) and test functionality to assure proper set-up and operation.
  • Watch for and react to stack light alerts.
  • Support and comply with safety and environmental guidelines.
  • Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain required product quality and/or as identified by Packer/Inspector.
  • Implement Berry incident protocol for medical assistance and apply first aid if trained.
Desired Background / Skills
  • MUST be able to read and understand English; prefer someone with experience operating extruder machines.
  • Candidate can speak English as a 2nd language, but MUST be able to read and communicate in English.
Other Information

Works a 12‑hour day, 3 and 4 days a week (84 hours every two weeks); weekend work is mandatory.
