Overview
Ranor, Inc is a large-scale fabrication and machining supplier. Our current focus is on defense related products in support of Navy submarine components.
At Ranor, Inc., welding operations encompass a broad spectrum of materials and an ever-expanding range of welding processes. Welders are qualified for each applicable process and participate in continuous training on both traditional and emerging techniques, supported by conventional and state-of-the-art welding equipment.
Duties include:
- Welding structural assemblies using GMAW, GTAW, SMAW weld processes.
- Use of pneumatic tools such as grinders, burr tools, wire brushes, etc.
- Oxy/fuel pre-heat and carbon/arc gouging as well as verifying weld size using weld gauges
- Reading and interpretation of weld symbols, technique sheets, and work packages
- Additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2 years of relevant welding experience
Preferred:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Additional preference given for Vocational, Technical and Community Colleges or Apprentice programs, Military Shipbuilding, manufacturing and automotive experience
- Ability to interpret welding procedures, structural drawings, technical manuals, test documents and diagrams
