Electrical Test Technician –
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct continuity, resistance and insulation testing on cable assemblies and CCA products Perform visual and mechanical inspections of cables, connectors, crimps, shielding, and terminations Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, harness drawings, and test procedures Set up, operate, and maintain cable test equipment (e.g., cable analyzers, multimeters) Verify proper pinouts, shielding integrity, and connector orientation Identify and troubleshoot faults such as opens, shorts, miswires, and intermittent connections Document test results, nonconformances, and rework actions in quality systems Work with QA and engineering to support root cause analysis and corrective actions Ensure compliance with IPC-620 and other applicable workmanship standards Assist in developing and improving test procedures and fixtures Perform first article inspections (FAI) and in-process inspections Maintain calibration awareness and proper handling of test equipment What you will be doing..
Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
Exclude technicians working in production or quality assurance. What we are looking for.. Associates Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 3 years of related experience; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years related experience. Must be able to obtain and maintain a goverment clearance #LI-MH1
Physical Requirements Most work is performed aboard ships or in industrial conditions. Shop, shipboard, warehouse, industrial environment. May be exposed to fumes and irritants including welding/burning fumes, paints, oils, greases and various cleaning solutions and solvents, noise, high heat and humidity hazards while wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
