Description
Job SummaryTech Etch is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor to lead a team of engineers and technicians in driving continuous improvement and optimizing manufacturing processes. In this role, you will provide technical leadership, process innovation, and problem‑solving expertise to enhance production efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, and Management teams to identify high‑value improvement opportunities and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
- Develop and enhance the technical skills of junior engineers and technicians to build a high‑performing team.
- Identify and assess production vulnerabilities, initiating reconciliation projects to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to analyze and improve manufacturing methods, processes, and materials, prioritizing high‑value initiatives.
- Drive cost reduction, yield improvement, and operational efficiency through strategic projects and lean manufacturing principles.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex, real‑time manufacturing challenges to maintain seamless production.
- Oversee and execute testing protocols, ensuring product quality and adherence to regulatory and customer standards.
- Investigate and resolve Discrepant Material Reports (DMRs) and Customer Alerts, developing actionable strategies to address root causes.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent manufacturing engineering experience).
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and team development abilities.
- Proficiency in problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.
- Effective project management skills to deliver results within deadlines and budgets.
- Expertise in Design for Manufacturing (DFM), quality control methodologies, and cost analysis.
- Strong communication skills to influence decisions, provide training, and collaborate across departments.
- Hands‑on experience with manufacturing tools, equipment, and automation processes.

Salary Range: $100,000 – $140,000. Most new hires can expect to start around $100,000. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
