HII Unmanned Systems is seeking an experienced Technician to manufacture and test various levels of electro‑mechanical assemblies aligned to autonomous vehicles and auxiliary equipment per drawing specifications.

• Perform integration, assembly, and test of new systems vehicles and auxiliary equipment from work instructions and assembly drawings.
• Perform testing and troubleshooting with engineering and software development to identify and correct system‑level problems with vehicles and auxiliary equipment.
• Read and understand diagnostic data and technical schematics.
• Set up and use test equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other input/output electronic test equipment.
• Use general computer operation skills.
• Perform basic soldering.
• TRoubleshoot PWBA’s, assemblies, and modules, including complex analog and digital circuits to the component level.
• Recommend procedure improvements and assist Manufacturing Engineering in implementing new procedures.
• Produce a sufficient quantity of working PWBA’s, assemblies, or modules within prescribed procedures to support the Master Production Schedule.
• Discuss technical problems encountered while troubleshooting or testing with Engineering.

• Associate’s Degree or other 2‑year technical degree in a related discipline and 3 years of related experience, or High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years of related experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a government clearance.

Most work is performed aboard ships or in industrial conditions. Work may be conducted in a shop, shipboard, warehouse or industrial environment and may expose the employee to fumes and irritants including welding/burning fumes, paints, oils, greases and various cleaning solutions and solvents, noise, high heat and humidity hazards while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
