Responsibilities
  • Ensure the Roll quality is to specification, layer counts are accurate, and Quality technicians have approved.
  • Stamp core legibly, and arrows are facing the correct direction on the spindle shaft.
  • Manually lift rolls from spindles, place them on scale for weighing and stack finished rolls.
  • Recording of production weights, layer counts, and production problems on the production report.
  • Ensure that empty gaylord skids are available for change when full gaylords are ready.
  • General housekeeping and maintenance of your production area.
  • Monitor production line operation and report interruptions immediately with public address system.
  • Handle all production rolls with care to not damage the edges or face.
  • Abide by the Kosher procedures in place.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Essential

Job Duties
  • List the essential job duties that are specific to the position. Operate machines according to production specifics.
  • Operate machines efficiently to produce high-quality plastic films, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Monitor and adjust machine settings such as speed, to maintain product quality.
  • Maintain proper stock levels of materials and notify the supervisor when inventory is low.
  • Continuously monitor film quality during production, inspecting for visual defects.
  • Report any recurring mechanical problems with the machines.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to read and write in English and basic math skills required.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain focus.
  • Knowledge of production process and quality control.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in manufacturing process or machine operation is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a machine operator, preferably in manufacturing or plastic films manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of the blown films process and machinery, highly preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on your own.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Capability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Comfortable working in a factory setting with varying temperatures and exposure to dust and loud noises.

Salary Range: $18.00 to $21.00 per hour

This range reflects the base salary that Polyvinyl Films Inc. reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role, based on current market data. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
