  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials, castings, hardware, and outsourced components.
  • Monitor work‑in‑process and adjust schedules to address delays, bottlenecks, or changes in customer priorities.
  • Collaborate with shop supervisors to balance workloads, optimize capacity, and maintain realistic timelines.
  • Track and report production status, schedule adherence, and potential risks to project managers and leadership.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, workflow, and shop‑floor efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate data in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., job routing, lead times, material status).
  • Participate in daily production meetings and provide updates on schedule changes or constraints.
  • Assist in forecasting labor and machine capacity needs based on backlog and incoming orders.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 3+ years of production planning or scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment; experience with heavy industrial, machining, or custom‑engineered products is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Epicor, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, fabrication, and assembly.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOMs.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements.
