Sign Shop Production Manager

Road Safe Traffic Systems is seeking a Sign Shop Production Manager to lead daily operations in our traffic sign production facility. In this role, you will plan and prioritize jobs, coordinate with project and field teams, and ensure accurate, on-time delivery of traffic control and pavement marking signage for construction and utility work. You will supervise shop staff, oversee equipment and inventory, enforce strict safety and quality standards, and help improve processes.

This is a hands-on leadership role supporting critical infrastructure and community safety projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the sign shop, including planning, scheduling, and prioritizing production orders.
• Supervise, train, and coach shop staff to meet productivity, quality, and safety goals.
• Coordinate with project managers and field crews to ensure signage meets job specifications and timelines.
• Monitor inventory levels, order materials, and manage vendor relationships to avoid production delays.
• Ensure all signs meet company and regulatory standards for traffic control and pavement marking.
• Operate and oversee use of fabrication equipment, printers, cutters, and related shop tools.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures, OSHA standards, and Road
• Safe safety policies in the shop.
• Inspect finished products, troubleshoot quality issues, and drive continuous process improvements.
• Maintain accurate production records, work orders, and reporting for management.
• Support implementation of new equipment, technology, and best practices to increase efficiency.
