As an Akoustis Engineering Technician, you will takeindividualownershipor a supporting roleof production processes and equipmentatthestate-of-the-artRF filter manufacturing facility in Canandaigua, NY,where we continually strivefor the highest levels ofqualitywith a focus on cost controls and production throughput.
Thejob requiresyouto work independently butinvolvesfrequent interaction with Akoustis Engineers and Operation sin a dynamic and fast-paced environment, whereyou are challengedwithsustaining multiple processes in a high-mix environment,troubleshootingproblemswith equipment,running designed experimentsforprocess improvements and developing new processes,new productintroductionsto the production line,and new equipment qualifications.
- Write andmaintainstandard operating procedures (SOPs) anddemonstratethe ability to train Production Operators and Technicians on SOPs
- Assumeprimaryownershipofarea processes and equipment
- Obtain qualifications tooperatearea equipment
- Monitor SPC control chartsfor processes and equipment andbe able to follow corrective actions when violations occur
- Support new product introduction sand sustain existing products and processes
- Create andoptimizeprocess and metrology recipes
- Identify,contain,troubleshoot and partition quality problems associated with the area’s toolset
- Drivecontinuousprocess improvementsprojectstoenhance yield, reduce cycle time, and lower manufacturing costs
- Participate in cross functional teams
- Support Engineering and Maintenance by running experiments and summarizing results
- Define and execute design of experiments to understand process capabilities
- Document results and present results to technical staff
- Collaborate with quality and suppliers on quality issues
- High school diploma or equivalent AND 4+ years of experience workingasaproductionorengineeringtechnicianinthesemiconductor, electronics, or manufacturing industry; OR associate’s degree or greater inaSTEMdiscipline AND 1+ years of experience working as aproductionor engineering technicianinthesemiconductor, electronics, or manufacturing industry
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Associate’sdegree,or greaterina STEM field and8+ years of experience working as anengineeringtechnician inthesemiconductor/electronics manufacturing industry
- Strong written, verbal, and organizational communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite andJMP statistical software
- Solid understanding of SPC,DOE, and 8D problem solving
- Hands-on experience operating semiconductor manufacturing equipment
- Experience handling silicon wafersandthesafe handling ofchemicals.
- Familiarity with high-volume manufacturing environments involving frequent product changeovers
- Experienceparticipatingin ISO quality audits
- Worka large percentageof the day in a Cleanroom with strict adherence to Class 100 level gowning protocols.
