Furnace Braze​/Secondary Ops Operator

Job Title

The primary functions of this role are in tapping (manual insertion of assembly and automated tapping), resistance welding, automated screw insertion, furnace brazing and other manual secondary operations. Additionally, all Alloy Holdings employees must support and live the company values:

• Tapping – involves sitting at a semi-automatic tapping unit where the operator places a part into a fixture and the unit taps the pierced hole.
• Resistance Welding – involves sitting at a welder where the operator inserts two parts into a fixture and the machine welds the two parts together.
• Oversight of automated equipment
• Furnace brazing – involves using carbon fixtures where the operator places copper substrates and silver buttons into place and puts the fixture into a furnace brazing oven. At the exit of the furnace, the operator then removes the parts from the fixture and inspects the parts.
• Quality checks utilizing control parameters
• Material transactions – operator will use our MRP system to assign and issue components to a production lot and then complete transactions for the amount of parts produced.
• Material handling
• Support a safety culture by following all safety rules including reporting all incidents and near misses

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Manufacturing/machine operator experience of 3+ years preferred
• Ability to read process sheets and prints
• Ability to work with close tolerances
• Knowledge of using verniers, calipers and micrometers preferred, but can train
• Working with quality control and data collection

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
