Job Description

Welders, Sheet metal Fabricators, and Leadmen play a crucial role in producing high-quality metal products through skilled welding and fabrication techniques. This role requires proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stainless steel welding, as well as the ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints and specifications. The Leadman will oversee a small team, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining safety standards, and supporting a cooperative and positive team environment.

Occasional travel to job sites is expected, and familiarity with operating equipment such as shears, press brakes, iron workers, overhead cranes, and forklifts is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and metal fabrication using MIG, TIG, and stainless steel techniques
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions accurately
• Operate company equipment including shears, press brakes, iron workers, overhead cranes, and forklifts
• Lead and coordinate a small team to meet production targets
• Maintain quality control and ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Communicate effectively within the team to foster collaboration
• Travel occasionally to various job sites as required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in welding and metal fabrication

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical training in welding or metal fabrication
• Forklift Operator Certification
• Skilled in MIG, TIG, and stainless steel welding
• Proficient in blueprint reading
• Experience operating press brakes, shears, iron workers, and overhead cranes
• Strong team communication skills
• Commitment to safety compliance
