Description
Spring Valley began on a small family farm in Jackson, WI in 1961 and has grown into a leading manufacturer of fertilizers and ice melter products. From our 8 blending locations and multiple shipping locations, we serve a wide variety of customer markets including distributors, co-ops, and retailers throughout the United States and internationally. Our company continues to grow and expand, which presents many new opportunities. Our Hatfield, MA plant is eagerly seeking a Raw Material Unloader to join our team!
Responsibilities include:
- Ability to unload railcars in a safe and timely manner
- Maintain accurate and current unloading information including weights and quantities
- Follow SOP's for all record samples and sieve test taken before unloading railcar
- Complete general maintenance of unloading system
- Ability to operate powered industrial equipment such as front end loaders and forklifts in accordance with safety policies and OSHA standards
- Safely move railcars in and around plant
- Visually inspect railcars and ensure all safety protocols are followed in the unloading system
Pay & Perks:
- $20.00-$25.00+ per hour starting pay based on experience.

Requirements
Successful team members will have:

- Excellent communication and organization in a fast paced production environment.
- Previous experience and comfortability in forklift operation, including stacking pallets 2-3 high is a plus!
- Ability to follow written & verbal instructions
- Willingness to support continuous improvement initiatives
- The ability to keep accurate records and follow procedures
- Pass a post-offer drug screen
- Reliable transportation to get to and from work
- Ability to lift 50 lbs frequently
