Summary:
Join Our Growing Manufacturing Team. We are seeking an experienced ProtoTRAK CNC Machinist to join our growing precision manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating ProtoTRAK CNC milling machines, interpreting engineering drawings, and producing high-quality precision machined components for aerospace, defense, and commercial customers.
Key Responsibilities Set up and operate ProtoTRAK CNC milling machines.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and specifications.
Program, edit, and troubleshoot ProtoTRAK controls.
Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and work holding for machining operations.
Produce precision parts while maintaining tight tolerances and high quality standards.
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, and other inspection equipment.
Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
Make machine offsets and adjustments to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Collaborate with engineering and quality personnel to resolve machining or quality issues.
Follow all company safety procedures and quality management requirements.
Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and operators to optimize processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications3+ years of experience operating ProtoTRAK CNC milling machines preferred.
Experience programming and editing ProtoTRAK controls.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
Proficient in the use of precision measuring equipment.
Ability to maintain tight tolerances and consistently produce quality parts.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workmanship.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications Experience machining aerospace or defense components.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems.
Experience with prototype and short-run production.
