About the Role
Curaleaf is looking for a motivated and creative Social Media Specialist to lead the coordination, delivery, and performance tracking of our social media communications. You will manage our channels day‑to‑day, create compelling content, and ensure consistent brand identity across all Curaleaf UK brands. Working within a heavily regulated environment, you will help build trust, support patients, and grow our presence in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain consistent brand values, tone of voice, and messaging across all platforms; follow strict regulatory guidelines for communications in the medical cannabis sector.
- Develop engaging, platform‑appropriate content aligned with trends, audience insights, and customer feedback.
- Proactively interact with patients, respond to queries, and foster constructive, positive conversations; identify opportunities to collaborate with patient groups and sector organisations.
- Use social listening tools and analytics to track performance, identify trends, and report against KPIs and ROI.
- Partner with clinic and pharmacy marketing assistants to deliver the agreed social media strategy.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, social media developments, and best practice.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Degree in Marketing, Social Media, Communications or equivalent hands‑on experience.
- Deep knowledge of major social platforms, current trends, and a proven record of growing engagement and reach.
- Proficiency in scheduling and analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Canva) and Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisation, ability to prioritise workload, and meet deadlines independently.
- Previous experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or a highly regulated industry.
- Understanding of budget planning and cost control.
- Knowledge of medical cannabis or unlicensed medicines regulations.
- 27 days annual holiday + 8 bank holidays.
