Peoples Church (Ashburnham, MA) – Pastor
The Church Founded in 1890 and located in a rural north central Massachusetts community, we are a congregation of believers who rely on the Bible as our primary source of guidance. We are affiliated with the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference (4 C’s). Our congregation is a family of approximately 80 Christians.
Our mission is to love God, love others, and make disciples of Jesus Christ, all to God’s glory,(Matt 22:37-38; Matt 28:19; Isa 43:7). We aspire to welcome, support and encourage all in their walk in faith.
What We Are Looking For- Provide spiritual leadership and guidance to our congregation.
- Nurture a loving and supportive church family.
- Deliver engaging and biblically sound sermons.
- Offer compassionate pastoral care to individuals and families.
- Inspire us to deepen our faith and live out God’s love in our daily lives.
- Work collaboratively with church leadership and members.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Leading worship service.
- Ministering to the needs of the church.
- Providing pastoral care, including visitation, counseling, and spiritual guidance.
- Overseeing the spiritual growth and discipleship of the congregation.
- Working with the Elders and other committees to enrich the life of the church.
- Officiating at wedding and funerals.
- Engaging with the local community and representing the church in community events.
- Must abide by Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.
- A deep and abiding faith in Jesus Christ.
- A passion for preaching, teaching, and pastoral care.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A heart for serving others and building a strong church community.
- Preferably not less than an undergraduate degree from an accredited college, university or Bible college or equivalent experience.
- Preferably at least five (5) years of pastoral experience.
Total Package: $70,000 plus $2,000 Sign on Bonus
