The Salvation Army's Ray & Joan Kroc Community Center is hiring a Corps Ministry Associate and offers the following benefit package to part-time employees:

Pay Range: $20 per hour 20 hours per week
The Ministry Associate will serve as support to the Corps Officer with the responsibility to assist in the overall leadership of programs, events, and activities at the Boston Kroc Corps. This ministry requires a commitment to love young people and to lead them in spiritual growth.
Education Requirements- High School diploma or equivalent
- Prior work/volunteering experience with Salvation Army programming preferred
- Prior work experience with children in a recreational and/or educational setting
- Must uphold Biblical standards in personal and professional life
- Must have strong communication and organizational skills
- Must be responsible, accountable, respectful, positive role model
- Must possess a willingness to drive a 12-Passenger van
- Must be 21+ years of age
- Ability to read and write effectively in English; follow written instructions, adhere to policy and procedure of The Salvation Army
- Receive the public on behalf of the Salvation Army and assist by directing them to appropriate areas.
- Ability to maintain the highest standard of professionalism and confidentiality during and after employment, in all matters.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required
- Bilingual in Spanish or Haitian-Creole is a plus, but not a requirement

Requirements include:
- Sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or occasional continuous basis.
- Grasp, push, pull objects such as reference materials, files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead.
- Ability to load and to change settings, devices, fixtures, on various equipment used in and around an office environment
- Operate telephone and other electronic communication devices.
- Operate various other office equipment including personal computers, copiers, fax machines, and scanning equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to travel throughout the Division.
- Ability to be creative, original, intuitive, and perceptive.

- Ability to solve complex problems, make appropriate judgments and decisions
- Involvement in the total program with willingness to help in all areas as needed, including dining room, outdoor/indoor activities, children with problems, daily devotions, etc.
- Responsible for being involved in ALL CORPS PROGRAMS, in a leadership, support or advisory capacity to foster their development.
- Responsible for assisting with driving responsibilities, as necessitated by Corps Program Schedule
- Responsible for assisting with basic maintenance and cleanliness of program space
- Attend and contribute to all General Staff & Ministry Team Meetings.
- Responsible for the supervision of assigned staff.
- To assist with the oversight of all program schedule activities, special events, building security, etc.
- To train or mentor youth for occupational endeavors and foster leadership whenever possible.
- To assist with the organization of fundraisers assisting in funding the overall Corps Ministry.
- To provide safety procedures for all participants (Plan of Action) must know evacuation plan and procedure, should have a contingency plan in case of need
