The Cultural Center of Cape Cod is a vibrant, beloved, longstanding non‑profit with a $1.5 million operating budget and a mission to serve the local community through “All the arts for all of us.” Each year, we offer hundreds of ways to enrich the region through art exhibits, classes, concerts, lectures, performances, dining, and event rentals. We seek a visionary, strategic, creative, and collaborative Executive Director to lead our highly skilled staff, partner with our Board of Trustees, and spearhead our next chapter.
Overview- Job type:
Full-time, on‑site - Salary range: $100,000 – $120,000 per year
- Location:
South Yarmouth, on Cape Cod, MA - Reports to:
Board of Trustees

Key Responsibilities
- Inspiring and visionary leadership :
Partner with our Board and staff to expand our reach and impact; create and implement forward‑thinking arts programming and strategies; and encourage and welcome community involvement and collaborations. - Administration :
Oversee daily operations and resources; carry out policies and procedures; and manage, mentor, and cheerlead staff, artists, and volunteers in an organizational culture of inclusion, collaboration, creativity, and accountability. - Finances and fundraising:
Manage and transparently report a $1.5M budget; oversee connections with individual donors, members, and foundations; and oversee cultivating and securing fiscal partnerships, grants, and major gifts. - Community ambassadorship :
Serve as the Center’s public face and chief storyteller; and strengthen ties with artists, cultural groups, the area community, business leaders, civic groups, and the media.
- Experience :
At least 5 years of leadership, preferably within an arts or cultural non‑profit organization. - Financial acumen : A proven track record of strongly managing $1M+ operational budgets and leading successful fundraising campaigns.
- Strengths :
Exceptional communication, public speaking, and digital literacy skills. - Local knowledge :
Familiarity with Cape Cod’s arts landscape and economy, and its philanthropic community, is highly preferred. - Education :
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Arts Administration, Non‑Profit Management or Business — or similar experience — is a plus.
