Surgical Unit RN - Florence, Massachusetts

A nursing professional is sought for a contract opportunity in the Operating Room at an ambulatory surgery center in Florence, MA. This role offers a focused environment ideal for RNs with perioperative experience seeking to provide high-quality patient care in a specialized surgical setting.

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in good standing.
• Specialized experience in Operating Room nursing.
• Ability to work effectively within a small unit of 8 beds.
• Familiarity with surgical protocols and patient safety standards.
• Capacity to commit to the contracts orientation and scheduling requirements.
• Compliance with Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency Licensing requirements for nursing pool staffing is mandatory.

• Deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgeries.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and sterile techniques.
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently.
• Participate in an 8-hour non-billable orientation to acclimate to facility protocols and systems.
• Comply with staffing policies including pre-approved time-off requests (limited to 5 days or less).
