About the Role
Assistant Nurse Manager at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health.
Pay range: $88,090–$96,336 annually, depending on experience and higher education.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday 8 am–4 pm, with a weekly on‑call rotation every 4 weeks.
Location:
Rutland, MA.
$3,000 Sign‑on Bonus.
As the Assistant Nurse Manager, you will:
- Participate in the administrative and operational management of the Nursing Department.
- Interview, hire, train, schedule and supervise the nursing team.
- Actively contribute as a member of the center’s Senior Treatment Team and the Interdisciplinary Team.
- Evaluate and develop procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with regulations and best practice standards.
- Manage day‑to‑day nursing operations and coordinate with interdisciplinary staff.
- Oversee hiring and onboarding of nursing personnel.
- Ensure nursing staff training and development aligns with current standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with treatment teams to improve patient outcomes and program quality.
- Implement and monitor policies and procedures.
- License renewal CEUs as part of the nurse continuing education program.
- Ongoing training opportunities – internal training in the behavioral healthcare field and relevant conferences.
- Performance evaluations with ongoing coaching conversations.

- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Graduated from an accredited nursing school with a Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Must hold a current RN license from the Massachusetts State Board of Nursing.
- Minimum two years of experience in nursing management.
- Minimum five years of clinical experience in a related nursing field.
- Must be able to attend a 2‑week paid orientation, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, in Rutland, MA.
