Masters Academy International is seeking a compassionate, organized, and experienced Staff Nurse to support the health and wellbeing of students in our boarding school community. The Staff Nurse will provide comprehensive health care services, promote wellness, and ensure a safe living and learning environment for students residing on campus. In a boarding school setting, the nurse serves as a first point of contact for student health concerns and as a health educator for students who live away from home.
The role may require evening or occasional weekend availability to support boarding students.
- Provide primary health care services as the first point of contact for student health concerns.
- Conduct routine health checks and coordinate care for illnesses or injuries.
- Educate students, staff, and parents on health and wellness best practices.
- Maintain accurate health records and comply with all regulatory requirements.
- Respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Collaborate with dormitory staff, local emergency services, and parents to ensure comprehensive student support.
You are a compassionate, highly organized, and operationally strong Registered Nurse (or eligible for licensure in Massachusetts) energized by the opportunity to support the health and wellness of student‑athletes in a dynamic boarding school community. You are an exceptional communicator who can speak with credibility and confidence across a wide range of stakeholders—from anxious parents and dormitory staff to local emergency services.
Qualifications- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred. - Experience:
Previous experience in school nursing, pediatrics, or adolescent health care strongly preferred. - Credentials:
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts (or eligibility for licensure). - Expertise:
Demonstrated success in clinical assessment and decision‑making. - Knowledge:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to respond calmly in emergency situations; strong organizational and record‑keeping abilities; compassionate approach when working with adolescents from diverse backgrounds.
The salary for this role is $70,000 per year. Eligible employees receive medical, life insurance, a 401(k) savings plan, and additional benefits.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 12:00 pm‑8:00 pm.
