Critical Care Unit
Schedule:
36 Hours (7p‑7a), with rotating weekends Position Summary
The Critical Care RN assumes full responsibility for the quality of nursing care she/he provides to patients and their families. This includes health maintenance, teaching, counseling, collaborative planning, comfort and restoration of optimal functioning, and dignified death of our patients. Within the parameters of her/his education and the Nurse Practice Act, the RN may delegate nursing activities to other RNs and/or health care personnel.
The Critical Care RN provides care that meets the specific needs of all age groups and adapts to impairments such as hearing, sight, substance abuse, non‑English speaking and potential victims of abuse. The Critical Care RN incorporates the commitment to patient rights, mission, vision and values into nursing practice.
- Education:
Nursing Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred); ability to obtain a BSN within four years required. - Experience:
Critical‑care experience or completion of a transition to Critical Care course; must maintain required competencies for a CCU setting. - Certification/Licensure: MA RN license, BLS, ACLS, TCAR or TNCC.
$38.10 – $77.63 per hour. This range reflects a minimum of the qualifications. Base pay is determined by education, experience, licensure and certifications.
