About the Role:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Berkshire Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center, you will provide direct nursing care under the supervision of the RN to our residents, while also supervising the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the nursing assistant. With a competitive hourly rate ranging from $35 to $42, depending on the shift and weekly pay, this full-time opportunity with second and third shifts available, including every other weekend.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program

• CPR certification

• Current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN/LVN in the state, or in the process of obtaining one

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident

• Maintain current resident care plans on all residents under your care

• Follow physician's orders, render, and/or assist with complete nursing care, treatments, dressings, and other physician orders

• Review patient records daily to ensure accuracy and completeness

• Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes

• Visit each resident daily to evaluate resident needs

• Maintain accurate awareness of residents on alert list

• Document and report any unusual or significant findings; contact the physician when necessary

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions

• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public

• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care

• Leadership and supervisory ability, with the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel
