Northfield Mount Hermon (NMH) is looking for a Second Shift Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team at O'Connor Health and Wellness Center. In this role, you will provide compassionate medical support to our diverse boarding and day school community, with a focus on the physical and emotional health of adolescents. Responsibilities include assessing student needs, providing nursing care, and working collaboratively with medical and counseling professionals.

This is an opportunity for an RN who enjoys working with adolescents, contributing to a supportive team, and developing positive relationships with students. A Day in the Life:

As a Second Shift Registered Nurse, you will provide care and support to approximately 650 students representing communities across the United States and more than 60 countries. Working in our 24/7 health center, you will assess student health needs, develop and carry out treatment plans, administer medications, and provide compassionate care for students requiring inpatient support. You will collaborate with the physician, nurse practitioner, counselors, and nursing staff to provide coordinated, student-centered care while maintaining accurate electronic medical records.

Your work will help students feel supported and cared for while they are living and learning on campus. You’ll be part of a knowledgeable healthcare team and have the resources and collaboration needed to provide quality care. This role includes a generous second shift differential, a schedule that includes every other weekend during the academic year, and time off during the November, December, and March school breaks.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) degree required
• Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• At least 2years of nursing experience in emergency, adolescent, or family medicine preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, organizational, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative healthcare team
• Experience maintaining electronic medical records and proficiency with basic computer applications, including Google Workspace
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising sound clinical judgment
• Passion for supporting the health, well-being, and development of adolescents within a diverse and inclusive community

This is an in office position.

This is an academic year position, with school breaks and summer off.

10 hour shifts 1p-10p, 4 days a week with every other weekend required.
