Overview
- Lead and manage a small landscaping crew across multiple commercial properties
- Perform routine landscaping services including mowing, trimming, edging, planting, fertilization, mulching, and seasonal cleanups
- Oversee lawn health, irrigation systems, and general landscape appearance
- Identify site issues and communicate needs or recommendations to management
- Ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and to company standards
- Operate landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, skid steers, and loaders
- Perform snow removal operations during winter months, including plowing parking lots, clearing walkways, and applying de-icing materials
- Operate snow equipment such as plow trucks, skid steers, loaders, and snow blowers
- Tow landscaping and snow equipment using non-CDL trucks and trailers
- Assist with staging, loading, and securing equipment for daily operations
- Monitor weather conditions and respond to snow events as required
- Ensure all landscaping and snow operations comply with safety regulations and company procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized job site and properly store tools and materials
- Complete basic equipment checks and report maintenance issues
- Communicate with property managers or site contacts as needed
- Support general property maintenance tasks as required
- Follow all safety procedures and report incidents immediately to management
- Travel between properties and work out of town as directed
- Valid driver’s license (ability to travel locally and regionally; weekend work required during peak seasons)
- Proven experience in commercial landscaping and grounds maintenance
- Snow removal experience required
- Ability to operate skid steers, loaders, plow trucks, and landscaping equipment
- Ability to tow trailers and equipment (non-CDL)
- Prior experience leading or supervising a small crew preferred
- Strong understanding of planting, fertilization, irrigation, mowing, and seasonal landscape practices
- Ability to lift and operate heavy equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work long hours during peak landscaping and snow seasons
- Hoisting license (2A/1C) a plus or willingness to obtain
- DOT medical card a plus or willingness to obtain
- Commercial landscaping, crew leadership, snow removal, equipment operation
