As an Arborist Ground Person you will work alongside Bartlett’s expert arborists, gaining practical field experience in scientific tree and shrub care on commercial and residential properties. This entry‑level opportunity offers hands‑on training to develop a career in arboriculture.

• Learn, through on‑the‑job training, to safely perform all aspects of arboriculture, including pruning trees, rigging, cabling and bracing, removal of hazardous trees, maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts), implementing work zone safety procedures, assisting arborist climbers and crew leaders, and assisting with driving, backing, dumping, and parking duties.
• Learn, understand, and adhere to all safety rules and company safety policies.
• Maintain a passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors.
• Work outdoors year‑round performing manual labor in all weather conditions.
• Maintain a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to participate within a multi‑disciplinary team.
• Possess prior tree care, landscaping, forestry, or horticulture experience (preferred but not required).
• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• Have a degree in arboriculture, forestry, horticulture, plant science, landscape management, environmental science, or a related field (preferred but not required).
