Veterinary Assistant Position

VCA Pleasant Bay Animal Hospital is hiring a full time experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team!

We have been serving pets and their people in the communities of Harwich, Chatham, Brewster, Dennis, Orleans, as well as other areas of the lower cape, since 1975. Our Animal Hospital is a full service veterinary hospital, that provides top quality medical services, bathing, wellness exams, preventative care, including vaccines, diagnostic services, spays, neuters, dental procedures, digital radiography including dental radiography, and advanced surgical orthopedic services.

Compensation: $20 - $25 / hr based on skill set, experience, and licensure status

Must include a Saturday rotation

What You'll Do

• Physical examinations, patient assessment, and recovery
• Procedural anesthesia and monitoring
• IV fluid administration and CRI calculations
• Hands Free Radiology and diagnostic imaging
• Client communications and discharge
