Equid Doc Veterinary Services LLC is seeking an experienced
Equine Veterinary Technician or highly skilled Assistant to join our growing mobile practice.
This role is ideal for a candidate who is confident in inequine handling, diagnostic support, and field-based workflows, and is looking for a collaborative environment with opportunities to expand technical skills.
Key Responsibilities Advanced Clinical Support- Assist with radiography, ultrasound, and endoscopy procedures
- Prepare, operate, and maintain diagnostic equipment in the field
- Support veterinarians during lameness exams, emergencies, and procedures
- Safely handle and restrain equine patients independently
- Monitor patient status during procedures and treatments
- Process and submit diagnostic samples
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately
- Manage inventory and maintain veterinary vehicles
- Ensure equipment readiness for daily farm calls
- Professional customer communications both in person and via phone/email
- Accurately enter and manage patient records and treatment notes
- 2+ years veterinary experience (equine strongly preferred)
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) preferred but not required
- Strong equine handling skills required
- Experience with diagnostic imaging and lab work preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a mobile/outdoor environment
- Full-time preferred
- Primarily weekday farm-based schedule
- Seasonal variation typical of equine practice
- No overnight or on-call shifts
- Competitive hourly pay: $22–$30/hour (based on skill level and credentials)
