Role: Veterinary Receptionist
Status: Full-time
Salary: $20.00 - $22.00 / hour
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
Experience: Previous veterinary reception or customer service experience preferred

Our three-doctor small animal practice is looking for a friendly, organized, and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist who loves pets and thrives in a supportive, team-first environment. With four-day work weeks and rotating Saturday shifts, you’ll have a predictable schedule that leaves room for the things that matter outside of work.

What You’ll Do

  • Welcome clients and patients with warmth, compassion, and professionalism.
  • Answer incoming calls, route them appropriately, and respond to voicemail messages promptly.
  • Schedule appointments and efficiently manage a busy, multi-doctor calendar.
  • Check patients in and out while ensuring client and patient information is complete and accurate.
  • Collect payments, process invoices, and review estimates with clients.
  • Update patient records and thoroughly document client communications.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, veterinarians, and clinical team members.
  • Help maintain an organized, welcoming, and efficient reception area.
  • Support hospital workflow by anticipating needs and helping teammates as needed.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on building lasting client relationships.
  • Excellent multitasking skills and the ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail when updating records and documenting communication.

  • Comfort learning and using veterinary practice management software.
  • Experience with AVImark is preferred.
  • A genuine love of animals and empathy for the people who care for them.
  • A positive attitude and collaborative, team-first mindset.
  • Previous veterinary reception or customer service experience is preferred.
