Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital (VESH) in South Deerfield, MA is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our growing Urgent Care team. This Veterinary Technician opportunity is ideal for a Vet Tech who enjoys fast‑paced medicine, hands‑on patient care, client communication, and continuing to build advanced clinical skills.

Compensation- Non‑Credentialed Veterinary Technician: $22–$26/hour
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT): $26–$29/hour

As a Veterinary Technician on our Urgent Care team, you’ll work at the top of your skillset while supporting patients through evaluation, treatment, and discharge.
Responsibilities Include- Collecting blood and laboratory samples
- IV catheter placement and venipuncture
- Running in‑house laboratory diagnostics
- Performing radiographs and assisting with imaging
- Preparing and dispensing medications
- Monitoring patients during treatment and recovery
- Triaging urgent care patients upon arrival
- Obtaining patient histories and documenting medical records
- Reviewing treatment plans and estimates with clients
- Providing discharge instructions and client education
- Supporting veterinarians with diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient treatment area
- Collating with emergency and specialty teams to deliver exceptional patient care
We’re looking for a Veterinary Technician who is confident, compassionate, team‑oriented, and eager to learn.
- Veterinary Technician experience required
- CVT, LVT, or RVT preferred, but not required
- Urgent care, emergency, or specialty experience preferred
- Strong technical skills including venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, and laboratory sample processing
- Comfortable in a fast‑paced clinical environment
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Positive attitude with a collaborative, team‑first mindset
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and adapt throughout a dynamic shift
- Desire to continue learning and growing clinically
- Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
